Italy’s Jannik Sinner came to this year’s US Open, as the number#1 ranked player in the world. Sinner won his first Grand Slam of his career at the start of year in Melbourne at the Australian Open. The Australian is nicknamed The Happy Slam! I hope to go to the Australian Open one day. So needless to say Janik started the year remarkably well Down Under in Australia obviously! That being said the circumstances were much different for Jannik this US Open because. the Italian came into this Grand Slam Ranked Number #1 in the world. Therefore was a big time target on Sinner’s back this time around. there is different type of expectation and pressure that comes with that going into a Grand Slam. After Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz lost early Carlitos Alcaraz in round 2 and Nole round 3 respectively. Sinner automatically became the favourite to take home his maiden US Open title, in Flushing Meadows New York. On a side note the US Open takes place in the burrow of Queens. Back to Sinner Sinner Chicken Dinner. Jannik played a remarkable level the whole US Open Fort Night. The best I have ever seen him play. The Italian is a superb all around player. but what sets him apart for the rest of the field in my opinion is that he’s an elite mover Sinner Height of 6 foot 4 really helps him posses an excellent serve. Jannik the lean mean machine was on fire He only dropped One set in 7 matches on route to the to the title. his only set Jannik lost the whole Tournament was the first set in his first round match. To the home grown talented American player Mackenzie McDonald After that the Italian rolled in his next six matches. Proving to me and everyone else that he is currently the best tennis player in the world! His victory was even more impressive to me because prior to US Open Jannik had to pull out of Olympics because he was sick with Tonsillitis In my humble opinion to recover that quickly is remarkable! In the Final Sinner faced off against American Taylor Fritz. The San Diego was the first American since Andy Roddick 2009 Wimbledon to appear in Grand Slam! The crowd was all hyped up for final because an American finally made. it too final once again The Last time an American appeared in the 2006 again it was the previously mentioned. The Big Serving American Andy Roddick. Taylor was bidding to become the first American since Andy Roddick to win the US Open. 2003 was the last. time an American won a Grand Slam Title. Believe when I say that Andy is very sick of being the answer to this trivia question! its been 82 Grand Slams and counting since Roddick won The US Open! This trivia question can now legally drink a beer! With all that being said Jannik was a man on a mission rolling past Taylor Fritz swiftly and easily in straight sets 6-3 6-4 7-5 Jannik Sinner you are a fantastic tennis player!!!
