Tennis Paradise Indian Wells

Hi guys.

This year I went to BNP Paribas Open (Tennis Paradise) at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for one week. it was my third time at very prestigious event The tournament is a Masters 1000 event. This event in the Southern California Desert, is part one of what we in the tennis world call the Sunshine Double The Masters 1000 is held in Miami. Hence the name Sunshine Double. It was a very special week for me because my very good friend Israeli  Dudi Sela and also affectionately known as  King of Odlum Brown Vancouver Open  winning four titles here in my hometown (2005 2008 2010 2015) made his best run yet at the BNP Paribas Open by reaching the 3rd round. It didn’t start out that way though. First Dudi defeated Noah Rubin of Long Island New York in the 1st rd of qualifying 6-2 6-1. In the final rd of qualifying he lost former collegiate player from Chicago Evan King 6-0 6-3. Then Dudi’s luck magically turned around when he was granted a lucky looser spot by the tournament when  Denis Istomin of  Uzbekistan withdrew late due too injury. Dudi faced off against Peter Gojowczyk of Germany  in the 1st Rd Dudi used his quickness and   retrieving skills on the return games and served at a very high percentage He beat the tall big hitting German with ease 6-4 6-4. Now it was on to a much tougher test against world number 24 and newly crowned British number one Kyle Edmund. Dudi Came out on fire not missing at all hitting both his backhand and forehand with incredible precision and depth blasting Kyle off the court by the same exact score line as his previous match 6-4 6-4. Then he went on to face his best friend on the tour Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus  in the third round. This match had incredible shot making by both players but eventually Marcos came out on top with a two hour 7-5 6-4 very hard fought victory.  I’m very happy I was there to see Dudi have a great run in the Desert!  What can I say teamwork makes the dream work!
