How Demar DeRozan Became The Best Player In The NBA

Hi guys,

Demar DeRozan has always been a great player, But now I think he’s the best player in the NBA. Here’s why I think that.

First of all he came into this season with a lot to prove. In the summer Sports Illustrated ranked him number 46 out of the top 100 players in the NBA. So he had a chip on his shoulder, and he used that ranking to fuel his fire.  He also wanted to prove to everybody in the association, that he was worth his 139 million 5 year contract extension that he signed in July. In my opinion he was able to do that and a lot more. He stared off red hot scoring 30+ pts in 6 straight games, becoming the first player since Michael Jordan to do so. Michael did the same thing way back in the 86-87 season. Demar also became only the fourth player in  league history score to 30+ points in eight of nine games to open a season. The others being MJ World B. Free, and Nate Tiny Archibald. Putting himself in some elite  company. Demar has become a mid range magician and a master of getting to free throw line and finishing through contact. he is shooting 85 percent from the free throw line. That’s  why Demar shooting 28 percent from the three point line, I believe really doesn’t matter. More impressive than that is the fact that he gets  all his  points within the flow of the offense and doesn’t force anything. He lets the game come to him.  Even more impressive that is the fact his assist totals are the highest they have ever been, which speaks volumes. Clearly he’s  letting his game do the talking!
